55 millions age, earth toasted expeditiously, the seas became acidic and sea life died.
The bulky dispensation of carbon gases has been the groom reason, but no one sure how much the massive discharge of these gases. it's not proven how much longer the seas were acidic.
But now from the latest research it is affirm that the 4500 gigatons of carbon was released and oceans remained acidic more than 100000 years because of that major accident. Its an alarming situation because computers systems told us that this could happen again with the similar effect if we continue to eject approximate amount of carbon dioxide into atmosphere in next few hundred years.

The bizarre warm interval at the end of the Palaeocene epoch and the start of the Eocene, was first identified more than a decade age. Sea surface temperature increased by 5 degree celsius at the equator and by up to 9 degree celsius near the poles. Howoever, no extreme destruction occurred on land but deep water life suffered their awful destruction in the records.
Carbon isotopes collected from deep sea cores produce the analytical result that previous warming was due to the omission of two thousands gigatons of carbon. This carbon was produced from the stake of methane hydrates from sea bed. Why methane
hydrates quit from ocean floor is unknown, but it oxidised with carbon dioxide converting the oceans acidic.
To study the oceans at the times, James Zachos of the university of California at the santa cruz with his associates gathered samples from ocean from different deepness in south atlantic. Normally, fossils turned into thick carbonate rich stake in ocean floor. Although the water dissolve the calcium carbonate and clunch remained in higher depth and pressure. This happen below the deepness of 4 kilometers in today's seas but in acidic oceans, the shells could have resolve in depth-less water.
The revealed that fossils were dissolving only at 2 km deepness. The acidity of oceans advanced to this level in 10000 years. It took 100000 years for oceans to back to normal since the neutralization reaction process depended upon the weathering of silicon rocks on earth.
In fact, those rocks chemically reacted with atmosphere carbon gas and that helped sea to lower its acidity.
The work also revealed that there was also an exhaust of twice the amount of green house gases than the 4500 gigatons of carbon in air causing global warming. What were the causes of the omission of those gases is still a secret.
This amount is approximately comparable what human can burn the natural fuels stocks in coming few hundred years and that carbon will rollback in 100000 years.
Computer manikin forecast similar scenes if human omit the same amount, says Gerald Dickens of rice university.
